Structure of Education and Libraries in a Developing Society
All libraries, whether Academic, Public, Private or Special, are the centres
Of learning and reservoirs of knowledge. However, a developing society
should reflect the significance of libraries in their educational set-up, allowing
Unrestricted access to its books, periodicals, archives, and
Manuscripts. One cannot predict the future of our traditional libraries
In the face of rapid research in Western countries., new technologies
are constantly being developed, and some notable scholars are forecasting
a paperless society in the decades to come.
We must wait for that moment when the Microsoft innovations would
Be adopted by universities and colleges around the globe. However,
Printed books would still be available and earnestly required by the less
Developed countries.
